The Casper Museum Consortium is holding their annual Valentine’s “Date Night at the Museums” on Friday, February 3rd, 2017. A ticket to Date Night means VIP Tours at four museums in Casper, transportation all evening, catered food at all the sites, and a cash bar with specialty drinks – all for only $90 per couple!

Calling it, “Casper’s best way to wine and dine your Valentine,” Rachel Hedges, Marketing Coordinator for the Consortium says, “This is a great way to spend an evening with your date, being chauffeured to great mu-seums and enjoying a four-course gourmet meal.”

The evening begins at Fort Caspar Museum at 5:30 p.m., where Eggington’s will serve some of their signa-ture appetizers: Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms and Teriyaki Meatballs. Reenactor Con Trumbull will be on hand to talk about the exciting but lonely life at the Fort in the 1860’s. At the cash bar, The Horseshoe Bar and Grill will be pouring a selection of wine and beer, or try one of the specialty mixed drinks, the “Frontier Soldier,” the “Caspar Collins,” or the “Cannonball.”

Then we hop on the Casper College bus and go to The Tate Geological Museum, where you will enjoy the main course from Bullwhip Catering: either Classic Fettuccini Alfredo with Grilled Chicken or Roasted Iowa Loin of Pork with Wild Mushroom Sauce, Tossed Green Salad, Cinnamon Carrots, and Fresh Dinner Rolls. A special presentation in the Museum and Prep Lab will follow, where you can meet Nicole the Triceratops and Ben, the giant 50 million year-old turtle!

Back on the bus, and we’re off to The Nic, where you have the opportunity to hear Eric Wimmer, Curator of the Nic, take us on a tour of the Galleries where we can see Robert Russin’s fabulous sculptures and the works of surrealist painter, Martin John Garhart. The Hangar Bar & Grill will be serving a selection of chocolate dipped fruit, and The Horseshoe Bar & Grill will be serving up the specialty drinks, the “Valentini,” “Paint The Town,” or “Picassos’ Punch.”

Finally, you will enjoy our coffee, tea, and dessert at the Historic Bishop Home. Juanita Jungck will serve decadent desserts, Chocolate Lover’s Tea, Coffee, and Italian Sodas. A tour will include a viewing of the col-lection of historic trunks and travel accessories, and historical Valentines from over the years.

This will be a wonderful night out with your Valentine for only $90 per couple. Register at our website: www.caspermuseums.org, or at The Nicolaysen Art Museum, 400 East Collins. Hurry! Space is limited! Please RSVP by January 31st.
