Art Walker's enjoy the sunshine on the sidewalk outside of Geodicke's Custom Framing and Art Supply.Goedicke’s Custom Framing and Art Supply has been a staple in Casper since 1955. In 2013 Claire and Tyrell Marlow purchased the store from its original owners and immediately set to work revitalizing a longstanding Casper tradition.

“I wanted to take it over because it seemed like it needed new life, and instead of closing down one of the oldest businesses in Casper, I wanted to give it a fresh start and see if it could breathe new life into the art community here,” said Claire Marlow.

Marlow’s philosophy for Goedicke’s, in addition to offering a full range of both professional and student-grade art supply options (in store and online), as well as custom framing and frame repair, custom matting, glass cutting, and art classes, is to provide exemplary customer service to every shopper that walks through her doors.

We are willing to work with our customers, said Marlow. We offer special ordering to ensure they can purchase any art product on the market, locally and from a small business. We want them to get exactly what they want every time they walk into our store. We offer discounts to our loyal, repeat customers and we strive to offer only the best quality products available. We never skip a step or skimp on quality.

According to Marlow, custom framing has been with the business for more than 65 years, and they ensure their techniques and practices are the best and most current, imparting a deep knowledge of framing problem solving.

“I believe we are the only custom framer to offer oversize framing; pieces as large as 4’x10’,” said Marlow.

In 2014 Marlow took a look at the large, adjacent space being used only for storage by the business, and imagined a beautiful gallery space. A lot of hard work and four months later she and husband Tyrell opened Scarlow’s Gallery; a high-end, bright, open and inviting space for artists as well as patrons.

The addition to Goedicke’s was well-received.

“We opened our art gallery in 2014, and have received rave reviews and many thanks for offering the space to artists near and far,” said Marlow.
